As a leading expert in organizational democracy, she is recognized as one of the business thought-leaders of her generation as well as of the next generation of business.

Traci has spent over a decade pioneering methods and tools for designing and building democratic companies, including the WorldBlu Democratic Design System™. Traci's unique vision has created events like WorldBlu LIVE, a first-of-its kind conference on organizational democracy attended by hundreds of business thought-leaders from around the world. Traci also pioneered the groundbreaking WorldBlu List of Most Democratic Workplaces™, an annual listing of the most democratic organizations in the world.

Drawing from over a decade of original research and hundreds of conversations with business executives and leading practitioners about how freedom, rather than fear and control, can be practiced within a business environment, Traci is currently working on her first book highlighting innovative case studies in organizational democracy. Traci's white papers, The Democratic Company and The Art of Freedom-Centered Leadership have been read by business leaders around the world. She has been published in the Christian Science Monitor newspaper and has also been featured in the Wall Street Journal, The Christian Science Monitor, US News and World Report (online edition) as well as several dozen other magazines, online journals, radio shows and blogs.

Business leaders have taken note of Traci's work, including Fast Company magazine, which has twice selected her into the second round of the annual Fast 50, the search for the "fastest 50 people and ideas." Traci frequently addresses audiences on organizational democracy and freedom-centered leadership and has shared her message with individuals from over 100 countries and for organizations such as Yahoo!, Fox Interactive Media, and Harvard University.

Prior to becoming Founder and CEO of WorldBlu, Inc., Traci founded the WorldBlu Foundation, a non-profit think-tank. Previously in her career she worked in public relations and advertising for a Fortune 500 company, was a social venture capitalist for the NASDAQ Stock Market's multi-million dollar educational foundation, and was a social entrepreneurial consultant for a national non-profit organization.

Traci has traveled throughout Southeast Asia, Latin America, Africa, the Middle East, North America, and Europe. She earned a BA in global studies and entrepreneurship from Principia College and a master's degree in international development from American University's School of International Service in Washington, DC. In her free time Traci loves traveling, learning how to play the cello, running, yoga, spending time outdoors, and writing poetry.

Meegan March

Designer

meegan@worldblu.com

As a designer with WorldBlu, Meegan March draws on her multi-faceted life and management experience to propel WorldBlu towards reaching its goal of identifying 20,000 democratic organizations by the year 2020. Over the past ten years, Meegan has worked with WorldBlu in a variety of capacities, and she joined the team full-time in August 2008.

Prior to this position, Meegan served as Peace Corps Panama’s Deputy Training Director. In conjunction with the Training Director, she developed and implemented the training curriculum for new Volunteers. She facilitated training sessions, and through empathic leadership, Meegan helped new Peace Corps Volunteers respond productively and successfully to the cultural adjustment process. She also managed the Regional Leader program, giving guidance and mentorship to a network of Volunteer Leaders.

Meegan worked for three years as an international development practitioner before becoming Deputy Training Director. In that capacity, she managed projects with women artisans and other local groups in a remote district in Panama. The experience clearly demonstrated to her that, similar to a high-performing organization, effective and sustainable development requires the engagement and ownership of its participants. They know best how to mobilize and utilize the necessary skills and resources to achieve their goals. This hands-on experience provides her with a deep and intuitive understanding of the dynamics of organizational democracy.

Meegan’s other work experience includes holding a position with a specialized UN agency in their Washington, DC Liaison Office. She also worked as a backpacking guide trainer and manager in the mountains of New Mexico, and performed environmental education and restoration with an AmeriCorps team in Portland, OR.

Meegan holds a Masters in International Development from American University and a BA in English from Saint Olaf College. She has traveled in Latin America, Australia, and New Zealand, biked from Illinois to Maine, and hiked long-distance for 2.5 months on the Pacific Crest Trail. In her free time, she likes to read, bike, and play music.
